Pony Club

Pony Club is a three hour session for children offering a mix of stable management and pony care. This will typically consist of activities including grooming, tack cleaning, mucking out, learning about the care of a pony, playing horse related games. Official Pony Club curriculum is followed, including mini achievement badges for younger members. Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum level progressive tests and achievement awards for older riders. Participants must become Pony Club members if they wish to continue once their trial period is up. Over the year Pony Club members are invited to join us on many events and outings, from Pony Club rallies to trips to major equestrian events such as Windsor horse show and Olympia. In August of each year we hold a prize giving for all members, awarding trophies and rosettes to outstanding members.

Junior  Pony Club Saturdays 9am – 12pm. £40 per session or pay for 10 in advance receive the 11th free. Junior Pony Club is open from the age of 6 to 10 years for children who are to young or not at a riding ability to join seniors. Members must be able to ride independently.

Senior Pony Club Saturdays 1.30pm – 5pm £40 per session (including 1 hour group riding lesson) or pay in advance for 10 receive the 11th free.  Senior Pony Club is open to children over the age of 10 who are able to ride a pony in walk and trot independently and who we feel are responsible enough to take part. Senior Pony Club member who are felt responsible enough are invited to assist on a Saturday morning with Junior Pony Club.

Young Equestrians Fridays 6.30pm – 9.30pm £30 per session. Open to Pony Club members aged 13 and over by Invitation . YE is a mixture of Youth Club and Pony Club, aimed at riders looking for something  less structured the traditional Pony Club. YE is the jewel in Echo’s Pony Club crown, giving younger riders something to aspire. As part of YE we support our riders grown in many other areas, assisting with completion of both YELA and DofE Awards.
